Frequently asked questions

How much is my yacht worth?

Value depends on the builder, age, refit history, engine hours, condition, class and flag, VAT status and where the yacht is based, compared with recent sales of similar yachts. We give you a free written valuation based on comparable yachts on the market and recent transactions.

How long does it take to sell a yacht?

Well-priced motor yachts from 24 to 60 metres often sell within three to nine months; larger or very custom yachts can take longer. Correct pricing, good photos and video, and the yacht being ready for viewings make the biggest difference.

What does it cost to sell a yacht through a broker?

The broker’s commission is a percentage of the sale price agreed in the listing agreement, and it is only paid when the sale completes. There is no fee for the valuation or for marketing your yacht.

Can I keep using or chartering my yacht while it is for sale?

Yes. Many owners keep using the yacht or keep her in a charter programme while she is listed. We simply agree viewing windows with you and the captain.

Can you sell my yacht to buyers in the Gulf?

Yes. We work with buyers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait as well as international buyers, and present your yacht in English and Arabic. If the buyer wants the yacht in the Gulf, we coordinate delivery, import and registration.

Which documents do I need to sell my yacht?

Typically the certificate of registry, builder’s certificate or previous bills of sale, proof of VAT status, class and survey reports, maintenance and refit records, and the inventory. We help you prepare a complete file before listing.

Should I choose a central agent or an open listing?

A central agency gives one broker the responsibility for marketing and coordinating all other brokers, which usually means a consistent price and better control of viewings. An open listing lets several brokers market the yacht directly. We explain both options and what fits your yacht.
